Japan Spoken Word Night

No. 2: 裏 - ura - hidden

A night of poetry and words spotlighting Japan and the Japanese language in Berlin is the theme of this spoken word event.

Date

2022-09-13 , 19:00 - 22:00

Venue

JDZB

As part of the JDZB Focus “Knowledge Culture”, we want to explore the theme of „裏 - ura - hidden“. The implied meaning is manifold, it may simply mean things occurring in the shadows, yet may also ask the question on how to shine a light on the subliminal beneath knowledge and culture, that which is about to be known, can barely be grasped and is bordering on the edge of the conscious.

We will start the evening with a traditional communal reading of a short poem by the famous contemporary author IT Hiromi and continue with the wonderful performances of the night. Afterwards you are invited to mingle for drinks and talks.

>    Spots for readings and performances (5-7min) on the theme of “hidden” in German, Japanese and English still available!
