Since 1 April 2023, the Japanese-German Center Berlin has a new Deputy Secretary General, MATSUMOTO Kenji. After receiving M.Sc. in Geography from the University of Tokyo, Mr. MATSUMOTO joined the Japan Foundation in 1999 and served as Deputy Director of the Japan Cultural Institute in Cologne and New York. Until recently he was Director of Regional Strategies and Planning Division of the Japan Foundation Tokyo Headquarters. He comments, “I look forward to working with the JDZB team in order to contribute to enhancing the japanese-german relations to a new level.”
