Symposium: The Roles of Germany and Japan in Global Health III
Against this background the Japanese-German Center Berlin (JDZB), the Global Health Centre (GHC)/Graduate Institute Geneva (IHEID), the Institute for Global Health Policy Research (iGHP)/National Center for Global Health and Medicine (NCGM), Tōkyō, the Heidelberg Institute of Global Health (HIGH) in cooperation with the World Health Summit (WHS), are organizing this symposium on the roles of Germany and Japan in global health on 25 October 2019 at the JDZB.
The symposium will reflect on impulses given by the 2019 G20 Osaka Summit and will ask how Germany and Japan can promote Universal Health Coverage (UHC) and in which areas both countries can collaborate and intensify their cooperation in the future to achieve United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). After the first symposium held in Berlin in 2017 and the follow-up symposium held in Tokyo in 2018, the current event will include a discussion on the role of the private sector in promoting UHC.
The symposium is a Satellite Event of the World Health Summit 2019.
