The organizers will introduce the following research networks that have set themselves the goal of working together with small and medium sized enterprises to shape digital transformation and foster international exchange:

-    GRANITE, the German Research Ambassadors Network for Industrial Technology Endeavors, supported by the German Federal Ministry of Research and Education in the scope of the research marketing campaign "The Future of Work",
-    Shinshu University Nagano and the Shinshu IT Valley,
-    Das Kompetenzzentrum Mittelstand 4.0: eStandards (Competence-Center SMEs 4.0: eStandards).

Several experts are going to provide real-world examples and insights into their research in the areas of human-centered systems, application design, and "explainable AI" and will be ready to answer questions during the breakout sessions.
