Workshop Talk "Contemporary Music"

The 2021 New Year's Concert “Dialogs on Nature” with the Horizonte Ensemble playing contemporary works from Japan and Germany, has unfortunately been postponed to autumn later in the year due to the Covid-19 pandemic. In the meantime and to keep you entertained, you are cordially invited to attend a digital workshop talk with some of the composers and musicians from this project via Zoom.

Speakers will include Dr. Jörg-Peter MITTMANN, founder of the ensemble and initiator of the latest CD recording of the ensemble, the composer ITŌ Miyuki, who will join us live from Japan, as well as two musicians, Maria PACHE (viola) and Helene SCHÜTZ (harp), from the Horizonte Ensemble, who will play selected works. Aspects of the pieces, their history of origin and their execution, which interest composers, musicians and guests alike, will be discussed by the panel members, as well as the impact of the Covid 19 pandemic on the music world, each with their own perspective. Attendees are cordially invited to participate in the 30-minute open discussion at the end.
