This year’s JEX Program takes place from November 14 to 21, 2026, and focuses on Quantum Technology. The program gives 14 young experts from Japan and Germany, coming from a range of research and professional backgrounds, the opportunity to visit the partner country and take part in study visits to research institutions, universities, and companies. 

The Quantum Technology Workshop in the morning will focus on the participants’ experiences in Germany and Japan, current developments in the field, and opportunities for future bilateral cooperation. While primarily intended for JEX participants, the workshop is also open to everyone with a professional background or strong interest in quantum technology. 

From 13:00 onwards, the program will be open to all registered guests. A joint lunch will provide an opportunity for JEX participants and other attendees to get to know one another before the concluding session begins at 14:00. 

The afternoon session will bring together current JEX participants, alumni, and representatives from government, research, industry, and other relevant sectors to exchange ideas on Japanese-German cooperation in quantum technology and other future technologies. 

After the official program, we warmly invite you to an informal get-together at the JDZB with food and drinks, offering space to network and continue the exchange in a relaxed atmosphere.
