The Japanese-German Center was founded 40 years ago, on January 15, 1985, to promote and deepen Japanese-German and international exchange at the levels of business, science, culture, society, and politics. The JDZB's diverse exchange programs – currently five – contribute significantly to the realization of our foundation's purpose by promoting Japanese-German and international cooperation. The JDZB has been running various programs in cooperation with partners since 1999, and the number of alumnae and alumni has grown over the decades. 

To mark this occasion, the JDZB is organizing an alumni reunion for the exchange programs, where former participants can meet again and forge new connections across programs and years. During a panel with alumnae and alumni and a subsequent roundtable, new ideas for shaping sustainable relationships will be actively exchanged. We will also present the current agenda and plans of the JDZB.
