On September 25, the Japanese-German Center Berlin joined European Day of Languages with a calligraphy workshop at the Mittelpunktbibliothek Köpenick.

Guided by Saiu Minagawa, calligraphy instructor at the JDZB, a class of elementary school students picked up brushes and ink and tried their hand at writing their first Japanese characters. There was plenty of curiosity, enthusiasm, and creativity – a fun way to discover Japanese language and culture!
