We are celebrating 40 Years of JDZB

15th January 2025

On January 15, 1985, the Japanese-German Center Berlin was established at the initiative of the heads of government of our two countries, the then Prime Minister Yasuhiro Nakasone and Federal Chancellor Dr. Helmut Kohl. This year, we are celebrating our 40th anniversary (check out an article about our history here)!

We have planned a lot for our anniversary year 2025: symposia and flashlights, for example on the future of democracy, sustainable tourism and social security, #OpenMondays and networking salons and exhibitions related to Expo 2025 and the history of the JDZB. Furthermore, we offer courses, exchange programs for young leaders, young scientists, young volunteers, young professionals and youth welfare specialists, as well as an alumni reunion for our exchange programs. Furthermore, we are happy to provide a platform for your projects.

To stay up to date, please subscribe to our newsletter and follow our channels. We look forward to creating our anniversary year with you.
