August 27, 2024: Wernigerode Radio Youth Choir Performs at JDZB After Japan Tour

6th September 2024

It was a moving evening when the 56 singers of the Wernigerode Radio Youth Choir (Rundfunk-Jugendchor Wernigerode) performed in front of a select audience of partners at the JDZB and shared their experiences of their trip to Japan, which took place in November 2023 at the initiative of the former German President Christian Wulff.

It was a special sign of appreciation that H.E. Ambassador of Japan to Germany, Hidenao Yanagi, the Governing Mayor of Berlin, Kai Wegner, as well as the Mayor of Wernigerode, Tobias Kascha, and Simone Großner, State Secretary for Federal and European Affairs and Plenipotentiary of the State of Saxony-Anhalt to the Federal Government, attended the event to greet the talented young singers.

We are deeply convinced that cultural exchange is a particularly effective way to create deep and lasting international connections and will do our best to continue promoting investment in future generations.

Our heartfelt thanks to the Wernigerode Radio Youth Choir and their artistic director, Robert Göstl, for making this evening truly unforgettable for all who attended.
