Mauerspiel: An interactive "play" with words and movements
「壁」と戯れる/Mauerspiel (Zoom version): An interactive "play" with words and movements / workshop with TEZUKA Natsuko (concept, performance)
Tuesday, 15 December, 7 pm (duration approx. 1 hour)
Wednesday, 16 December, 2 pm (duration approx. 1 hour)
Participation free of charge, registration required (see below)
In this event, Japanese artist TEZUKA Natsuko will guide you in experiencing whether and how communication can work even if you do not speak the same language as your counterpart. You will be able to participate on two different dates.
Due to the current nation-wide partial lockdown, both the artist and the JDZB faced the challenge of how to transfer this performance into the digital space, which resulted in a complete overhaul of the entire project. We invite you to join us in this experiment and experience the TEZUKAs artistic exploration of intercultural and digital communication – reminding a slight touch of irony.
The performance as Zoom session will feature interactive elements. The audience will be able to participate in the process of artistic creation.
TEZUKA brings a very special performance to the JDZB digital stage, which finds an artistic approach to dealing with the challenges of the current Covid-19 pandemic.
After the performance there will be an artist talk with consecutive interpretation in German and Japanese. (duration approx. 30 minutes)
